What are Props America flat screen TV props made of/constructed of?
All of Props America's simulated electronic TV props are constructed of poly-styrene which is durable plastic. Most REAL televisions on the market are constructed of ABS plastic, but ABS plastic is heavy in weight and more expensive to ship. Props America TV props are made of poly-styrene to save on shipping costs and for easy maneuverability for the end user. It is hard to wall mount a heavy plasma television by yourself. With Props America plasma TV props being light weight, it is not a problem. Wall mounting can be done by a single person.

Why choose Props America plastic molded LCD simulated TVs and LED simulated TVs instead of cardboard TV props?
Props America products are light weight providing ease of use and affordable shipping. A box prop TV or cardboard TV shows damage rather fast by becoming weak and warped due to moisture, peeling labels or graphics, or collapsing due to age and use. Props America products are constructed using thermal forming of poly-styrene plastic which makes it light weight, strong, resistant to moisture, able to be cleaned, and easy to assemble and disassemble for multiple uses and compact storage. Metal TV props and metal TVs are very heavy and costly to ship as well as large and bulky to store due to their inability to be disassembled and stored compactly. Does Props America offer rental flat screen TV props and rental computer laptop props?
Props America strives to provide affordable TV props and laptops props which are easy and light weight for assembly, disassembly, and storage. All products with visible screens can be customized. With these options it is more cost effective for Props America's customers to create the perfect product and purchase a fake electronic TV prop or computer prop that will suit their needs at a price that is less expensive compared to a rental TV or rental laptop.
What if an item is on backorder/out-of-stock?
Props America seldom has a backorder situation being that Props America is the factory, and Props America ships factory direct. From time to time, it does happen. If an item you have requested is on backorder/out-of-stock, Props America's customer service will contact you within 24 hours with alternative products or the next available ship date.
What if my product arrives damaged?
If your product arrives damaged call customer service immediately at 866-909-6333. You have a maximum of 5 business days after receiving your product to report a damage claim. After 5 business days damage claims cannot be processed. Please note this is not a rule of Props America, but the rule of the small package couriers used to ship our product. Keep the original carton with the tracking number of the damaged product. Damage claims cannot be processed without the original carton and original shipping label still intact. The tracking number on the damaged package will need to be given to the customer service representative to process a damage claim. Once your damage claim has been processed, the shipping courier who delivered your product will pick it up within 1-3 business days for damage inspection at the shipping location it was delivered to. A replacement for the damaged item will be shipped out to you as soon as possible.
What is Props America's return policy?
You must call within 10 business days of receipt of your product to receive a Return Authorization Number (RAN). All returns must have a Return Authorization Number (RAN) and be returned in their original carton to receive a refund. Customer is responsible for return shipping costs. Returned product without a Return Authorization Number (RAN) will be REFUSED at the receiving dock. Return Authorization Numbers will not be issued after the 10th business day.
All returns and refunds are at the discretion of Props America. Used/Damaged product will not be accepted for a refund. All returned items are subject to a 20% restocking fee. Note: There are NO refunds on Custom Image Prints (images supplied by customer for printing).
Shipments refused by the recipient will be treated as a return. Return freight and shipment refusal/change of address charges will be applied to each package refused.
Freight amounts are not refunded.

What if I ordered the wrong size flat screen TV prop?
If you need to exchange a flat screen TV prop for another size, color, etc. please call customer service within 5 business days of receipt of your product. The exchange will be handled according to the return policy above, but there will be NO restocking fee.
What is the difference between Plasma TVs, LCD TVs, HDTV, Props LED TVs, & Curved TVs in regard to flat screen Prop TVs?
With simulated electronic television props there really is not a difference between Plasma TV props, LCD TV props, HDTV props, LED PropTVs & Curved Prop TVs because the screens are non-functioning. Plasma, LCD, LED, HD & Curved describe the picture quality on REAL televisions. With fake televisions this does not really apply. Some of our customers interpret Plasma, LCD and LED with the TV body style and function. All of our TVs are wall mountable. We have experienced that customers who are looking for Plasma TVs are looking for it to be mounted to the wall or in a cabinet and that the TV has a thin profile. All of the simulated electronic televisions that Props America has to offer can be wall mounted. Those customers looking for an LCD, LED TV, or HD TV are usually looking for a television model that can sit on a stand or in a cabinet. When you shop Props America, all of our plastic TV props, can be purchased with a base to be table-mounted. If you do not need the base and just want a wall mountable television prop, then Props America does not require that you buy a base.
Do you offer the old tube style looking televisions with a lot of depth to the back, or just the modern flat screen TV props?
No, unfortunately Props America does not carry that style. All of Props America's fake TVs when wall mounted are less than 1-1/2” in depth. If you chose to add a base the depth increases slightly, but not more than 7” on even our largest simulated electronic television prop (60” TV screen).
If I have a picture that I want on the screen of my flat screen television prop how does that work?
First choose the size, style and color of the television prop you are interested in. Once you have chosen what you want look at the screen choices available. The screen option is indicated by the last 3 digits of the item number. Screen image #999 is for custom screens provided by the customer. Add this item to your cart. After your order is placed a customer service representative will contact you by email requesting your image. Reply to the email with your image attached. The following file formats are acceptable: EPS, PSD, TIFF, JPEG, and Printable PDF. The resolution of the graphics submitted needs to be at least 300 dpi for the image to look crisp on the screen of the TV props. If you have further questions about image requirements please call Props America's customer service at 866-909-6333.
Television Props for staging and decorating are described in many ways. I have heard of people calling them box props, proptronics, dummy televisions, fake flat screen TVs, TV models, TV displays, simulated electronics, etc? Are they all the same?
They are similar. Words such as fake TV, fake computer, dummy TV, dummy laptop, dummy props, simulated flat screen TV, simulated LED TV, simulated LCD TV, simulated laptops, models, and displays are mainly used to describe that the television does not actually work (you cannot watch TV on it) and that the TV is to be used for representational or display purposes only (to show where a TV could fit).

No, Props America has no minimum order or quantity amounts. There are no dollar amount minimums. There are no handling fees. Props America would like to, but it is not always possible. The best thing to do if you are in need of a large quantity of props would be to call Props America's customer service department. Your order will be treated as a custom run meaning that it may take additional time (a couple of weeks), but Props America offers substantial discounts on large quantity orders. Do you have any tips on removing the clear protective films from the clear acrylic that goes over images? I have several of your prop TVs and once in a while I get a tricky one that is difficult to remove.
Most of the films are not difficult to peel, but occasionally there are tricky ones. The film is necessary to prevent the clear acrylic from getting scratched or scuffed during shipping.
I have 2 tips:
Tip #1 - I wrap a piece of tape around my index finger with the sticky side out and then gently rub my finger back and forth across a straight edge of the acrylic (not corner) hitting the film on both sides with each pass. I find this loosens the film on both sides and then I just peel away. It is easier to start peeling from a long straight edge than from a corner. I think a lot start with the corner, but they are actually more difficult because of the way the screens are cut in production.
Tip#2 - The edges of the acrylic are slightly different. One side of the edge is ever so slightly smooth and rounded and the other side has a tiny burr leaving it a tad bit rough. If you feel across the edge of the acrylic lightly, you will notice the difference. The rougher side of the edge is easier to peel than the smooth side. If I don't' have tape as in the case above, I will peel the rough-edge side first. I will use the film I removed to start the film removal on the other side. You will notice once the film is removed that it is slightly tacky and staticky on one side. Rub the tacky/staticky side of the removed film across the smooth edge of the acrylic to loosen the film on the smooth side. It works better than the tape, and it will loosen the film at the edge so it can be peeled.
